Ringgold Youth

RYAA in conjuction with LFORA, Boynton, and the Catoosa County Recreation Department are hosting the 7 year old Dizzy Dean World Series on July 15-22 at Jack Mattox. We need volunteers to help with Opening Ceremonies on the 15th and in concessions and field maintenance (lining, dragging) through out the tournament. Must be 16 years old or up to work concessions. No children allowed in concession stand due to limited space. Though this is a baseball tournament, the proceeds RYAA receives from this event will benefit all sports and players.

The dates and times are as follows:

Thursday, July 15th–Opening Ceremonies at Benton Place (amphitheatre)

Cooks (need 4 volunteers) –starting at 2 pm

Servers (need 5+) –food will begin being served at 5pm. Report at 4:30pm. Begin selling drinks at 3 pm.

Clean up–as many as we can get–Ceremony over by 8pm. should be done cleaning up by 9pm.

Fields– games start at 9 am Fri-Mon. Tues-Thurs games start in afternoon, possibly as early as 3pm. Do not know ending times yet

Concessions (times subject to change. this is based off last year)

Fri – Mon –8 am – 10 pm

Tues– 2 pm – 10 pm

Wed — 3 pm – 10 pm

Thurs — 5 pm – 10 pm

Volunteers can e-mail kathy.redman@ringgoldyouth.com.  There will be a volunteer list at each gate, so volunteers will not be charged gate fee.
