RYAA parents with a player registered with our association are considered members of our organization and are entitled to vote for non-appointed board positions. We also encourage participation from within the community. Current board members are listed here. Below is a letter from our current president announcing the upcoming election.
—————-
Parents,
We are drawing to the close of another great season. We hope that you had a great experience with RYAA in supporting our youth athletics this year in your respective sport(s). We continually strive to improve our organization to grow and support the needs of our local youth. At the end of the day the Association will only be as good as the level of volunteer support that we collectively provide as parents, coaches, commissioners, and board of directors. We encourage any one interested in assisting us on next year’s board of directors to approach any member of our board listed below in the next 2 weeks to inquire about any position that you might want to take on for next year’s board membership. You can call us or e-mail us with any questions. We do need you to let us know if you are seriously considering a board position. Most board positions are voted-in board positions and you have to be present at elections to be considered. If you want to be considered for a board position listed below please send Kathy Redman an e-mail (following instructions on the page linked to her name in order to email her, as we have not included the link here to avoid SPAM from robots that harvest email addresses on the Internet). Sending her an email will allow us to create the ballot for the board of director elections that will be held on Sunday afternoon May 23rd at 2:00 at the RYAA ball fields by the Ringgold Pool. We will meet underneath the pavillion.
